Facts
- Credits
earned with grades of “C” or better may be transferred to Tri-State.
All accepted credits may not count toward the specific degree
requirements of the chosen major at Tri-State.
- Only
credits attempted and earned at Tri State are used to determine the
GPA.
- Credit
acceptance is determined by the chair of the appropriate department.
A credit evaluation will be completed and sent to the student
after all appropriate documents have been received.
- Tri-State
uses the A=4.0 grading system.
- Applications
are accepted for any term.
- Cars
are allowed.

Agreements
- Tri-State
and a number of community colleges have transfer (articulation) agreements
which facilitate the application procedure and offer special benefits.

Students from two-year colleges
should check with their transfer counselors to see if their schools
have such agreements.

Do List
- Visit the TSU
campus. Click here

- APPLY on
line or on paper
- Have your high
school send an official high school transcript to us
- Have each college
you've attended send Tri-State your official transcript(s)
- Pick up a FAFSA
(Free Application for Federal Student Aid) from your college's financial
aid office
- File the FAFSA
form
- You may
file on line or mail the
paper form
- Indiana
students must file FAFSA by March 1 to qualify for state aid
- If necessary,
Indiana students must have all corrections to their FAFSA completed
by June 1 to qualify for state aid
- Mail the $400.00
tuition deposit to the Office of Admission, or you may pay
the deposit on-line.
The deposit is refundable until May 1.
- Mail the housing
contract, information form and the $150.00 housing deposit to the
Office of
Admission. You may also pay
the housing deposit deposit on-line.
- Sign and return
Financial Aid Award Letter
- Complete and
mail the New Student Questionnaire to the Admission Office so your
academic
advisor can complete your class schedule, or you may complete
the questionnaire on line. Click

- Attend one of
3 Summer Orientation and Registration (SOAR) sessions - click here
for dates.
- If you are taking
out a student or parent loan:
- Complete
and return Federal Stafford (Student) Loan Promissory Note
- Complete
and return Student Loan Entrance Interview, on
line or paper form
- Complete
and return PLUS (Parent) Loan Application
