What is electrical and computer engineering?
The electronic design and structure of communication, sound and control systems, as well as the design of computer software and hardware are some of the major areas of concern in electrical and computer engineering.

What are the career opportunities?
Graduates of the electrical and computer engineering department find challenging positions managing and directing projects in software design, hardware design, business applications, digital computers, instrumentation, signal processing, control systems, power generation, medical electronics, bioengineering, sound engineering, integrated circuits, plasmas, fuel cells, analog computers, meteorological instrumentation, extra-high voltage transmission, information theory, satellites, orbiting observatories, laser technology and teaching.

What areas of specialization are available?
Students majoring in electrical engineering may choose one of the following areas of concentration: Computer Engineering, Communication Systems and Signal Processing, or Electronics and Device Theory.
