Welcome to Tri-State University's Dr. John J. McKetta Department of Chemical & Bioprocess Engineering Web site. Tri-State is located in the beautiful glacial hills of Northeastern Indiana, in a semi-rural community proximate to many of the Midwest’s major metropolitan areas. From our start in the late 1800’s as a normal school, TSU has grown into a regional educational leader for the 21st century specializing in engineering, business, and human services.

The McKetta Department of Chemical & Bioprocess Engineering is an undergraduate program granting Bachelor’s degrees only. Our focus is on teaching, with research endeavors being integrated into the coursework. We specialize in providing students with an industrially-oriented undergraduate education; areas of expertise include bioengineering, environmental engineering, and materials science. This approach provides an excellent stepping stone to a career in industry or government, and it also provides a solid foundation for continued graduate education as evidenced by the success of a number of recent alumni.
