ASCE student chapter

The Tri-State University Student Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) was chartered in 1965. Membership is open to all civil engineering students and is highly recommended. Student members may also become student grade members of ASCE and enjoy membership benefits. The purpose of the Chapter is to promote professionalism and service through various activities. Annual events include the concrete canoe and steel bridge competitions. Listed below are highlights of our activities.

Concrete Canoe Project
Each year TSU students design, construct and race a canoe made out of lightweight concrete.  Tri-State students have won several regional awards for all of their hard work.

Service Projects
The student chapter performs service projects for the university and local community, including the City of Angola and Pokagon State Park.
