Why study environmental science at TSU?
Environmental Science at Tri-State is taught through a laboratory based curriculum that emphasizes analysis of components of an environment (as opposed to a curriculum based on environmental policy). Steuben County is uniquely located in an area that has many lakes, natural wildlife preserves, and a state park, which give students opportunities to experience first hand the relationship between resources and the environment. The Tri-State environmental science faculty is well respected for its knowledge, particularly in the study of water quality. Students receive hands-on learning experiences by collecting environmental samples and analyzing them on state-of-the art equipment.
