Pre-Med Major

What is a pre-medical major?
The Tri-State pre-med major combines the study of chemistry, biology and physics. It prepares a student for further education and a professional career. 

What careers do pre-med majors enter?
A TSU pre-med major most often continues his/her education at a professional school—such as medical school—following graduation. Students who follow this path pursue careers as a
a Physician
a Physician’s assistant
a Physical Therapist
a Chiropractor
a Nurse practitioner
a Pharmacist

Why study pre-med at TSU?
Chemistry, biology and physics are found in one department at TSU. The University can offer a combined curriculum that prepares a student to be successful in graduate school and a medical career.
