SUMMARY 
The Assistant Director of Admission must actively recruit and develop and maintain relationships with feeder school department heads to facilitate student recruitment, networking with area community people to generate students and increase visibility of the Fort Wayne Campus to enhance increased growth and to provide a timely level of service to our constituents.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  include the following.

  • Work cooperatively with all School of Professional studies personnel to follow Tri-State University policies and procedures.
  • Take initiative in recruiting students, actively "pounding the pavement," distributing information, and promoting the University, make enthusiastic, dynamic, accurate, and helpful presentations to prospective students and recognizing that all actions, words and deeds represent the University.
  • Develop relationships with academic department heads at area associate degree-granting institutions and with corporate leaders to facilitate student recruitment.
  • Create, develop, and deliver new marketing recruiting strategies.  
  • Keep ADMIS information up-to-date, send evaluations to financial aid to assist them in packaging students.
  • Assist students in completing online applications and doing requests for official transcripts.
  • Develop and submit advertising pieces to advertisers.
  • Organize new student orientations and assist with other on campus events.
  • Be willing to attend community networking events outside regular work schedule and work some recruitment booths on weekends.
  • Facilitate retention of students.
  • Assist with logistics of facility usage by employers and community groups.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

EDUCATON and/or EXPERIENCE 
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
