Responsibilities: The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering seeks a software engineering faculty member at the assistant or associate professor level, to begin August 18, 2008. A commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching is essential, including excellence in communication skill. Responsibilities include undergraduate teaching and advising, course and laboratory development, demonstrable intellectual vitality, and service to the university. Research activity that involves undergraduates is desirable. Normal teaching responsibilities are three courses and either labs or a design project in both spring and fall semesters.
Requirements: An earned Ph. D. in Software Engineering or a related field is required.
About Us: Tri-State University is a private, comprehensive career-oriented institution, founded in 1884 by the citizens of Angola, Indiana, in the northeastern "Lakes" region of the state. The University offers 40 undergraduate majors and two graduate majors in five schools to about 1600 students. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, with six faculty members and about seventy-five students is one of five divisions within the Allen School of Engineering and Technology, and offers an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering Degree. The department will request ABET accreditation in both Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2008. Currently, Computer Science is being merged into the department.
