As Trine First Lady, Melanie Brooks maintains a busy schedule organizing
and coordinating various events for the University. Mrs. Brooks
chairs the annual Trine Scholarship Gala and the Trine Women's Club.
She organizes final exam study breaks for students and regularly
hosts the Board of Trustees' spouses. She also attends
numerous University functions and represents her husband at alumni
functions. She supervises and coordinates activities at the President's official
home, hosting alumni events and community open houses. She also serves
as a conference colleague for spouses for the Council of Independent
Colleges.
She is an active parent for the couple's teenage daughter, Megan, a member of the Women's Fund of the Steuben County Community Foundation, and serves on the annual Cameron Hospital Foundation Ball Committee.
Mrs. Brooks holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Wesley
College and an associate's degree in office administration from Lincoln Memorial
University. She is a native of Ewing, Virginia.
