Position Description

JOB TITLE/DEPARTMENT: Student Assistant, Mechanical Engineering

PAY RATE: Minimum Wage.

HOURS: 10 hours per week, 8-5 p.m.    

DUTIES: Assist with setting up labs, moving equipment, boxes, and trash.  Cleaning the foundry, Aero Building, and labs in Fawick Hall.

SKILLS REQUIRED:  Cleaning, mopping, and some heavy lifting.

QUALIFICATIONS: Engineering major preferred.

Position Description

JOB TITLE/DEPARTMENT: Student Lab Assistant, Mechanical Engineering

PAY RATE: Minimum Wage.

HOURS: 10 hours per week, evenings and weekends.    

DUTIES: Open, close, and supervise the computer laboratory.  Provide supplies and solves basic problems in printing or accessing software and files.

SKILLS REQUIRED:  Dependability, ability to work independently, proficiency in computer and basic software.  Knowledge of Pro/Engineer and Pro/Mechanica is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS: Proven record of dependability.  Mechanical engineering major proficient in Windows, Word, Excel, and a desire to learn ME software.  Highly desired: Students proficient in MathCAD, SmartSketch, EES, Pro/Engineer, and Pro/Mechanica.
