Position Description

JOB TITLE/DEPARTMENT: Chemistry Lab Assistant, Science

PAY RATE: Minimum Wage.

HOURS: 10-15 hours per week, afternoon preferred.      

DUTIES: Chemistry lab & stockroom assistant, assist lab instructor in labs, some paperwork & light grading.

SKILLS REQUIRED:  General laboratory skills.

QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of CH 104 and 114 is necessary.

Position Description

JOB TITLE/DEPARTMENT: Biology Lab Assistant, Science

PAY RATE: Minimum Wage.

HOURS: 15 hours per week, afternoon preferred.   

  

DUTIES: Laboratory clean-up, organization, preparation for labs, setting up and taking down lab equipment, chemicals and glassware, making solutions, media soil, watering/feeding plants and animals.  Assisting with grading.

SKILLS REQUIRED:  Knowledgeable concerning basic laboratory procedures, biology, chemical calculations, measurements, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS: GPA 3.0+; Must have 2 semesters of science courses completed.  Science major, preference given to biology, chemistry, chemical engineering.

PAY RATE: Minimum Wage.

HOURS: 5-10 hours per week in the fall semester, scheduling varies.

DUTIES: Grading papers and preparing labs.

SKILLS REQUIRED:  Must have completed Organic I and II.  Punctuality.

QUALIFICATIONS: GPA is a 2.8 or higher.
