Welcome to your home away from home!
On-Campus Housing
Transitioning from high school life to college life can be challenging for first year students, especially coming from a different country. Living on-campus will be an important part of your experience. It will give you opportunities to establish lifelong friendships, and help you get involved in campus activities. Each floor has a resident assistant who serves as a mentor or a resource for any information you may need about our campus community.
Students who plan to live on-campus should arrive and move into campus housing the weekend prior to the start of the session. The New Student Orientation will be held on August 23rd and will end August 25th. All new students are expected to attend orientation.

Off-Campus Housing
Students who are married, responsible for a dependent child, living at home with a parent or guardian, or 21 years of age may choose to live off-campus near the university. Please fill out the request form to live off-campus if you meet these requirements. You will also be required to find your own off-campus accommodations. Please note that TSU does not provide transportation or on-campus housing over the holiday breaks.
Some questions to ask before signing a lease:
- How much is the rent?
- Is there a damage deposit?
- Does the rent include gas, electricity, telephone, water, trash removal, air conditioning and/or heat?
- What maintenance is your responsibility? What does the landlord provide?
- Who mows the grass and shovels the snow?
- What is the deposit policy?
- How long is the lease?
