Veterans at TSU

Tri-State University demonstrates its support for all veterans and our U.S. troops returning from Iraq or Afghanistan by helping to make your transition back to civilian life easier, and by offering you a solid, affordable investment in your future.

Through TSU, veterans have a considerable number of educational opportunities. Veterans wishing to devote their full-time energies to completing one of 40 majors in our traditional, residential, full-time, four-year degree program can elect to make application to our main campus in Angola, Indiana. Another option would be to choose one of our many locations for non-traditional, adult/non-traditional educational programs through TSU’s School of Professional Studies (SPS).

Since 1994, TSU’s professional studies program has focused on the educational needs of adult students by offering small classes that encourage a high degree of student/faculty interaction. Evening, weekend, and online classes are designed specifically for busy, working adults. The following degrees are offered:

  • Bachelor of Applied Management
  • Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
(with a Management or Accounting major)
  • Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice
  • Bachelor of Science in Human Resources

SPS classes are taught by professionals committed to quality education and depth of learning who work full-time within their individual fields of expertise. These offerings are available at five locations throughout Indiana: Angola, Fort Wayne, Merrillville, South Bend, and Howe.

Additional Benefits
Private education is affordable to U.S. Veterans! Scholarships, grants, loans, and campus employment (dependent upon choice of schools) combine to provide every veteran the opportunity to fulfill the American dream…a quality education with a lifetime return on your investment!

Credit for life experience is also available to those who qualify through documentation and a personal portfolio.
SPS offers the potential for an accelerated degree program with completion in 36 months.

Transfer credits are accepted including eligible military classes, police or fire academy training, technical, specialty, or career training programs.

Freedom Tuition Scholarship Program

TSU is pleased to announce the establishment of a new scholarship program designed for children of U.S. military personnel who gave their lives while serving the cause of freedom in Iraq or Afghanistan.  Four Tri-State University Freedom Tuition Scholarships, valued at $15,000 each (for a total value of $60,000 over four years), are awarded to students who meet the admission requirements to TSU’s main Angola campus as full-time, degree-seeking students.
