Vision for the Future Capital Campaign

2009 GOAL: $90,000,000

As of April 25, 2008: $77,224,968 +

What an exciting time to be a part of the Tri-State University family. Whether you are an alumni, employee, student, or friend, you can appreciate that this is a time of historic change in our institution. The strides we have taken in recent years have positioned us to be leaders in the region in a first-rate education that not only produces work-ready graduates but leaders in business and industry. With your continued support, we intend to continue moving forward.

With the implementation of our new master plan, change is evident everyday with the construction of our new University Center and Center for Technology and Online Resources, our multipurpose sports complex, Sponsel Administration Center, student apartments, and new upgrades of technology. Yet, perhaps some of the most impressive accomplishments are happening within the institution as a whole. Enrollment is at its highest in recent years. Average SAT scores among our students are also up. We have been ranked by U.S. News & World Report for the third consecutive year for offering an excellent comprehensive education at a low cost to our students. Amidst all the improvements and expansion, we continue to remain financially healthy. In 2006, our total net assets were up $9.4 million; our total revenue increased 22.5 percent; and our net cash from operating activities increased $8.3 million. We are proud to be known as an institution that is devoted to change.

Others have joined us in our crusade to be the best we can be by making TSU’s Vision for the Future capital campaign the most successful fundraising effort in our University’s 122 year history. Recently, we expanded our goal to $90 million after our campaign reached the $67 million mark. There is no doubt that this campaign is critical to the future of TSU.

We ask you to join in our success as we continue our journey toward a bright future. At TSU, we are focused on the future.
