WEAX 88.3-FM celebrated two milestones when manager Josh Hornbacher launched a new morning show in March. The station reaches the 30-year mark this year, and has recently moved its operation to a new studio and offices in the University Center.

Hornbacher and TSU students learning broadcast media at the station have new, state-of-the-art equipment in a glass-enclosed studio nicknamed “the fish tank” due to its visual exposure to the daily audience passing through the University Center. Hornbacher hosts the new broadcast, which features live programming, on weekdays from 6-8 a.m.

A formal dedication of the Hornbacher Studios, in honor of donor Dr. Vern Hornbacher and his late wife, Mary Jane, grand opening, and celebration with movie took place on April 22.
