Thank you for your interest in the Tri-State University License Plate program! With your purchase of a Tri-State license plate, you are making a difference in the lives of students.
Tri-State license plates are a great way to show your pride and support for the University. A $25 tax deductible contribution is given to Tri-State for each plate ordered per year. An additional $15 special recognition plate fee, along with your annual vehicle registration fees, are assessed by the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
Tri-State license plates are for Indiana residents only. This is a standard vehicle registration plate only issued for passenger cars, recreational vehicles, and trucks weighing less than 11,000 pounds.
You can begin ordering or renewing your Tri-State license plate soon by filling out the online form below and making the $25 contribution to TSU.
Once submitted, a Tri-State license plate application and renewal form will be mailed to you. Take or mail this form to your local license branch, along with your vehicle registration and payment. If you would prefer not to use the online form, please contact the alumni office at 260.665.4316, or the form may be printed and mailed or faxed to the Tri-State University Alumni office.

Alumni, friends, parents, or anyone wishing to support TSU!
What kind of vehicles can have the TSU plate?
The Tri-State University Special Group Recognition Plate may be purchased for passenger motor vehicles, trucks registered as a truck with a declared gross weight of not more than 11,000 pounds or recreational vehicles.
How much does it cost?
Plate cost is a tax deductible donation of $25 to TSU plus $15 fee in addition your annual vehicle registration fees.
What do I need to get the TSU plate?
A completed and validated license plate application form is required to purchase a plate.
Where do I get a TSU plate application form?
TSU license plate application form is available on line, in the TSU plate brochure, or call us, and we can mail, fax, or electronically send one to you.
Then what happens to the form?
TSU will validate the form and return it to you so you can bring it to your local license branch when registering your vehicle for 2007.
Can I personalize the TSU plate?
Personalized Tri-State University license plates are not available for 2007.
Can I pick what number I have on my TSU plate?
Special number requests are available but subject to an additional $30 administrative fee collected by the Indiana BMV.
I don’t live in Indiana; can I purchase a TSU plate?
Only Indiana residents may purchase the plate at this time.
