Suzanne Lenhart is an adjunct professor of psychology, having been with TSU’s Department of Criminal Justice, Psychology, and Social Sciences since Fall, 2002. She completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at Defiance College and Master of Arts degree in individual, marriage, and family counseling through Antioch University McGregor.
Lenhart came to teaching after a 22-year career in clinical work and community education and has taught a wide range of courses, including Forensic Psychology, Psychology of Addiction, The Family, Counseling Theories and Practices, Human Sexuality, Psychology of Personality, and Topics in Psychology. A licensed mental health counselor with specialties in addictions, sexual abuse, and loss and grief, she balances the department with practical experience and continues to maintain a small private practice in Angola.
For the past several years, Lenhart has helped to coordinate and support the annual Take Back the Night event on campus and has been active in the fight against sexual abuse and violence in the community.
