Professor Tim Hopp, who is currently finishing
a dissertation in composition studies, teaches both writing and
theater courses. Outside of class, he enjoys directing and designing
productions with the Drama Club, volunteering with Habitat for
Humanity, and kayaking in local lakes.

Donald Jones
Associate Professor
of Communication & Rhetoric
Dr. Don Jones, a former college debater and
coach, is an expert on persuasion and public relations, reasoning,
and science communication. He has been a speech writer and also
a communication consultant and trainer for corporate, governmental,
and nonprofit organizations. Don is a strong chess player who
loves hiking.

Dr.
Dennis Petrie
Professor of English
& Humanities
Dr. Dennis Petrie has published a critically-acclaimed
book on biography, and his film textbook is used in roughly 400
colleges and universities around the country. In addition to his
introduction to film class, he teaches upper-level American literature
classes and mass media. He will be your Sigma Tau Delta advisor.

Dr.
Jeanine Samuelson
Adjunct Professor of German
& Speech
Dr. Jeanine Samuelson, a specialist in German
language and culture, might also teach you speech. She participates
in the overseas Honor’s Seminar during Spring Break. A pianist
and organist, she is also a bicycle fanatic, logging close to
3,000 miles each season.

Former board member of the Indiana Humanities Council and Ft.
Wayne public radio, Dr. Tom Tierney teaches 17th-
and 18th-c. British literature classes, Mythology, & Architectural
Appreciation. A trophy-winning pocket billiards player, he has
taught an Honor’s Seminar on Pool & Literature.
