2003-04 OUTLOOK

The Tri-State University Men’s Golf Team combines experience with talented newcomers this fall. Among the returning veterans are senior team captain Drew Morris and juniors Jerid Winkle, Todd Hack, Scott Faust, and Justin Howard. All of these players saw a great deal of competition last year and are counted on to be the backbone of this year’s team.

Jordan Schroeder, who earned all-conference and all-regional honors last year, heads the sophomore returnees, along with Ryan Gibbs, who played number 1 or 2 most of last season. Among the talented freshman are Indiana State finalist Joel Bickel, Canada Cup star Joe Waleszczak from western New York, Craig DeSpain, Noah Warren, Chris Bergman, and Nate Nowak.

Tri-State will compete with MIAA Conference schools this, fall as well as in three other prestigious tournaments. With a combination of youth, experience and talent, Coach Bill SanGiacomo expects this year’s team to be a formidable opponent for everyone they come up against.
