Tri-State Cross Country Competes in MIAA Jamboree 

            The Tri-State University cross country team competed in the MIAA Jamboree hosted by Hope College.  The men placed fourth with a score of 106, while the women were seventh with a score of 194.  Phil Baranowski led the men’s team in a time of 26:17 and Tim Heiman followed with a time of 26:33.  On the women’s side Hannah Favors led the Thunder in a time of 20:58.

Tri-State Cross Country Participates in Indiana Intercollegiates 

            The Tri-State University men’s and women’s cross country teams competed in the Indiana Intercollegiates hosted by Purdue.  The men’s team placed 11^th out of 26 teams.  The women’s team finished 17^th.  Phil Baranowski finished in 56^th place and Tim Heiman followed closely in 59^th. 

            The cross country teams begin MIAA conference action on Saturday, September 25^th at Hope College.

Tri-State Cross Country Competes at Defiance 

            The Tri-State University men’s and women’s cross country team competed in the Defiance College Invitational.  The men’s team ran to a third place finish, while the women’ placed sixth.

            Tri-State’s Tim Heiman led the way for the men with a fourth place finish in a time of 27:50.4.  David Toennis also finished in the top ten at seventh place in a time of 27:57.3.  Hannah Favors paced the women with a 20^th place finish.

September 7

Tri-State Men’s Cross Country Takes First at Tiffin 

            The Tri-State University men’s cross country team placed first in the 4k run at the Tiffin Invitational.  The Thunder had four runners finish in the top 11.  Tim Heiman and Phil Baranowski finished first and second.  Heiman finished with a time of 5:10.81 and Baranowski in a time of 5:10.82. 

            In the 8K run, Tri-State’s men finished seventh.  Baranowski led the way for the Thunder, finishing fourth. 

            On the women’s side, Tri-State finished seventh in the 4k run.  Leslie Kleminski was the top finisher for the Thunder in 21^st place with a time of 6:50.33. 

            The cross country teams return to action Saturday, September 11^th at Defiance College.
