Tri-State Women’s Golf Continues to Improve
The Tri-State University women’s golf team placed second at the Calvin/Hope Fall Invitational held at Thornapple Pointe Golf Club in Grand Rapids, Mich. Manchester College placed first with a score of 246.
Sophomore Kylee Ehinger led the way for the Thunder, shooting an 80 and finishing in second. Senior Alexis Davidson placed seventh with a round of 87. Annie Huizenga of Calvin was medalist with a 79.
The women’s golf team returns to action on Friday and Saturday, October 8-9 at the Bedford Valley Golf Course for the MIAA Championships.

Tri-State Women’s Golf Continues Strong Play
The Tri-State University women’s golf team continued their strong play in MIAA action with a fourth place finish at Zollner Golf Course. Tri-State finished with day with a score of 348. Saint Mary’s placed first with a score of 321.
Kylee Ehinger led the way for Tri-State in fifth place, shooting an 83. Brittny Kempers-Makohn and Alexis Davidson both shot an 88 and finished in 20th position. Stefanie Simmerman of Saint Mary’s earned medalist honors, shooting a 74 on the day.

Tri-State Women’s Golf Third at MIAA Jamboree
The Tri-State University women’s golf team placed third at the MIAA Jamboree hosted by Kalamazoo. Olivet led the way with a 340, followed by Saint Mary’s with a score of 343, and Tri-State third with 350.
Tracey Ellis led the way for the Thunder with a score of 84, which was good for third. Brittny Kempers-Makohn also had a strong finish in ninth, shooting an 86. Kylee Ehinger rounded out the top ten for the Thunder, shooting an 87. Jennifer Lambarth of Olivet earned medalist honors with an 82.

Tri-State Women’s Golf Competes in Lady Comets Fall Classic
The Tri-State University women’s golf team placed 6th at the Olivet College Lady Comets Fall Classic held at the Medalist Golf Club. The Thunder finished with a two day total of 769. Manchester College was first with a total of 717.
Alexis Davidson and Brittny Kempers-Makohn paced the Thunder with a two round total of 189. Tracy Ellis followed in 21st place, shooting a 192. Holly Sneller of Hope earned medalist honors with a 170.

Tri-State Women’s Golf Fourth at MIAA Jamboree
The Tri-State University women’s golf team shot to a fourth place finish, with a score of 373, at the MIAA Jamboree held at Hidden Oaks Golf Course. Saint Mary’s College earned first place honors with a score of 332. Julie Adams of Saint Mary’s earned medalist honors, shooting a 76. Tri-State’s Tracey Ellis placed sixth with a score of 85.

Tri-State Women’s Golf 14th at Laker Fall Classic
The Tri-State University women’s golf team placed 14th at the Laker Fall Classic hosted by Grand Valley State. Tri-State shot a two round score of 750. Grand Valley won the event with a score of 632. Alexis Davidson placed 68 with a score of 185. Brittny Kempers-Makohn shot a two day total of 186.

Tri-State Women’s Golf Participates in Ferris State Fall Invitational
The Tri-State University women’s golf team placed 16th at the Ferris State Fall Invitational. The Thunder shot a two day total of 727. Ferris State placed first with a total of 595.
Kylee Ehinger shot a two day total of 179 to lead the Thunder. Tracy Ellis shot a 181 and Alexis Davidson shot a 182. Yasuyo Kiyota from Ferris State earned medalist honors, shooting a 146.
August 28
Tri-State Women’s Golf Begins 2004 Season
The Tri-State University women’s golf team opened their season by hosting the TSU Fall Invitational at Zollner Golf Course. As a team, the Thunder finished in fourth place with a score of 364. DePauw University was the top team with a score of 335.
Alexis Davidson placed eighth for Tri-State with a round of 87. Brittny Kempers-Makohn finished with a score of 89, which was good for 12th place. Lindsay Amore from DePauw won medalist honors with a round of 80.
Tri-State returns to action September 4-5 at the Ferris State Invitational.
