Bill Maddock has been a professor and coach at Tri-State University for the past eight years. He started his professional career as an elementary physical education teacher and coach and then moved to the private sector where he spent over 20 years as a U.S.P.T.A. tennis professional at a number of tennis clubs in Florida and Michigan. Professor Bill Maddock is now the Chair of the Health, Physical Education, and Sports Management Department and the Thunder Men and Women’s Tennis Coach. He earned his Master of Science degree from the University of Tennessee in the areas of Sport Psychology and Motor Learning. As a professor he teaches a variety of courses including sport psychology, motor learning, history of sport, and teaching pedagogy. He is active as a member of the board of IAAHPERD and will present at the 2006 IAAHPERD State Convention in November 2006. As the Chair of the HPS Department he spends a lot of his time greeting and educating prospective students and their parents of the three degrees offered by the HPS Department. |
