Obtaining Membership:
- Selected based on professional standing
- Chosen from various industries to access as many business activities as possible
- Members need to be reviewed by Dean, Vice President of Academic Affairs, and University President for approval
Benefits:
- Assist with ensuring relevancy of our programs to ensure we are teaching progressive business practices and preparing our students for their careers
- Offer insights with regard to upcoming business issues to allow TSU students a competitive advantage as they prepare to enter the workforce
- Provide assistance to the Ketner School of Business and our students in acquiring internships (either within or outside of their respective companies)
- To act as mentors to interested students, assisting them in preparation for their long-term success
- Professional development for both students and board members
Possible Activities:
- Students to visit PAB member’s companies to learn what a “whole” business really is/does
- Cases prepared by PAB members, based on real-life examples, given to students as class work – members can then provide feedback so students can see what they did right and where they could have improved
- On-site mock interviews
- Campus visits, class presentations by PAB members
- Luncheon mixers with students
