Purpose: To help students understand and become familiar with market economics and trade resources.

 

How the Program Works:

• This project will be done in a 5th grade classroom
• We plan to use pizza ingredients in this activity
• Groups will be representing different countries of the world. (5 groups)
• Each of the countries will get a crust.
• Toppings will represent different countries                                               

                                     Sauce = Spain 

                                     Cheese = France

                           Pepperoni = Italy

                                     Sausage = Germany

                                     Vegetables = United States 

• Students will trade among themselves to make a pizza with the toppings that their country desires
• After all the trading is done each country can “enjoy” their product
