Purpose:  To create awareness among elementary school students regarding the fundamentals of using a checking account.

 

How the Program Works:

• We are conducting our project in a 4th grade classroom.
• Students will be taught the basics of checking, maintaining a check book, and writing checks
• Students will be issued SIFE dollars
• Students will complete deposit tickets
• Students will write checks to other students for merchandise
• Students will maintain check Register and reconcile their accounts
