- All tutoring services are for current TSU students taking TSU courses.
- All students must sign in upon entering and sign out upon exiting.
- Tutors are learning facilitators who will help students improve their study skills in various subjects. Tutors are NOT proofreaders and are NOT allowed to check assignments, justify grades or type assignments.
- All TSU Learning Center services and facilities are for academic use only.
- Any disruptions to the learning environment will not be tolerated.
- The center is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal property.

- Walk-ins are served on a first come first served basis. Students must be in the center when it is their turn, or they will not be served.
- Students seeking tutoring must bring their textbooks and any other course materials to their sessions, such as handouts, syllabi, and a calculator, if appropriate.
- Students must read their assignments and attempt to do their homework/papers before working with a tutor.
- Tutoring sessions are limited to 30-minutes, unless no one else is waiting.
- Appointments can be made for up to a week in advance, but appointments must be made at least one day in advance.
- Be on time for an appointment, or it will be cancelled. If students are late for an appointment, they must wait for the next available tutor for help.
- If an appointment is cancelled, we will make every attempt to reschedule the appointment with an available tutor.
The TSU Learning Center staff can deny a student service if he or she refuses to follow any of the center’s policies. Copies of these policies are available by request. Contact Kathie Wentworth, M.Ed. Academic Support Services Director, in 213 Taylor Hall.
