Welcome
On-campus living is an important part of your educational experience. At Tri-State University the student housing facilities and programs are designed to have a positive impact on your personal and academic growth. Living on campus provides opportunities to establish lifelong friendships, and promotes involvement in campus activities. For individuals to live together, respect for each other and a commitment to certain standards is required. These standards are based on respect for the rights of others. Every resident of every hall has the right to an environment conducive to academic pursuit and personal growth, the right to some measure of privacy, and the right to belong to the community. Along with these rights are responsibilities to oneself, to one’s roommate, to the residents of the building, and to the members of the University.
TSU provides on-campus housing to meet diverse needs. Contemporary comfort now greets students calling three new TSU apartment buildings home. Soothing neutrals team up with jet-black furnishings and accessories to pull a tranquil, yet visually stimulating, theme throughout the living spaces. A vaulted ceiling with second-floor overlook, big-screen TV, and cozy fireplace with furniture groupings make the central lobby areas warm and inviting. Spacious apartments with central living areas and private bedrooms and baths boast 10-foot ceilings and large windows that scoop up light and views of the campus. Recreation areas provide a lively atmosphere with pool tables and air hockey.
The Campus Village offers villas for upperclassmen in apartment-style living at the corner of Park Avenue and Oakwood Street. The new townhouse-style buildings hold five-, four-, and three-bedroom apartments, each with a full kitchen, living room, central air conditioning, and all major appliances.
The new Honors Residence houses freshmen who enter TSU with excellent high school academic records. The residence includes private suites and restroom areas, plus a recreation area with all the amenities.
TSU’s six residence halls have lounges offering a warm and comfortable place for students to study and socialize. Laundry facilities exist on the first floor of each unit. Five smaller units house about 50 students each and are designated male or female halls. The sixth unit, Stewart Hall, is co-ed and houses over 300 students.
Tri-State University is committed to pleasant, productive, and safe student housing life. Each floor has a resident assistant who is responsible for upholding the mission of Tri-State University and providing an environment that supports educational objectives.
Bon Appetit, TSU’s Dining Services provides a wide range of meals (including “heart-healthy” selections).
