Female Unbound

Frances Shevenaugh entered Tri-State College in 1921, the first year the college admitted female students. The 106-year-old graduate still enjoys world travels with her family and working out at the YMCA.

After graduating TSU with a business administration degree in 2000, Lindi Marti established Women in Transition, an Angola, Ind. recovery house for women battling substance addiction.

Making a Difference

1978 TSU biology graduate’s Dr. Anne Reifel Miller’s laboratory research yields clues to the mystery of conquering illness through drugs developed by her company, Eli Lilly in Indianapolis.

Precedent-Setter

Megan DeWolf, a 2007 mechanical engineering graduate, became TSU’s first engineer in training (EiT) for Toyota directly out of college. The company selects less than 50 EiTs nationwide.
