She is also a board member of the Steuben County Literacy Coalition and trains home visitors, who undertake in-home interventions to empower parents to prepare children more thoroughly for kindergarten. She is also involved in staff development in several local school corporations. She and her husband enjoy traveling. Recently, they visited Germany and Austria. In addition, she enjoys cooking and entertaining. Each semester her classes appreciate her cuisine during “Breakfast at Professor Pomeroy’s House.”
