Students use the TaskStream data management system to develop electronic portfolios. In addition, objectives pursued in EDU 463, Educational Media and Technology, guide them to meet national technology standards for teachers as identified by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE).

A special resource available to FSOE students is the teacher-in-residence. Each year, a classroom teacher from an area school is selected to serve as a fulltime member of the FSOE faculty. The TIR brings practical experiences and important insights to the classes he/she teaches.
