In addition to his training in heat transfer and fluid
mechanics and mixing in heterogeneous phase reactor, Majid
Salim has extensive interest in high molecular polymer and
plastics fabrication in extrusion and injection molding processes.
He has done research on composite material and chemical reaction
kinetics of jet fuel on fluoro-silicon elastomers.
He is a member of the TSU Technology Center Advisory Board
for polymer property and fabrication and plastic educational
sub-committee. Dr. Salim also teaches an engineering plant
management elective course for senior level engineering
students.
He has done consulting for Leer Inc. and Williams International
Company. As an advisor of American Institute of Chemical
Engineering (AIChE), he attends national meetings and judges
