History
Omega Chi Epsilon had its inception at the University of Illinois in the spring of 1931. Professor F.C. Howard conveyed the idea to start the organization to a couple of students. The students developed the club with counsel from Professores Keyes and Krase. They drew up a set of by-laws, designed a key, and petitoned the council of administration at the University for a chapter. This became the Alpha Chapter of Omega Chi Epsilon. In 1967, the Society became a member of the Association of College Honor Societies. On the 23th of April 1980 the Alpha-Nu chapter was established at Tri-State University. Omega Chi Epsilon now has 55 chapters and over 16,000 members.
