Dr. John J. McKetta, ChE ’37
Worked at Wyandotte Chemicals and earned his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. He has had a remarkable career at the University of Texas-Austin with research predominately in the field of high-pressure thermodynamics. He currently serves as Executive Chancellor of the University of Texas system. Other accomplishments include serving on the Energy Commission for five United States presidents.
Robert Molitor, ChE ’42
Accepted a job at U.S. Rubber upon graduation. He holds 29 patents and worked at U.S. Rubber, Sun Rubber and Kendall Corp. before taking a job at Spalding Worldwide where he advanced to the position of vice president of research and development. His career at Spalding is deeply tied to golf balls ñ he invented the Top Flite golf ball, Spaldingís signature ball.
John Hester, ChE ’58
Earned an M.S. from Michigan State University in 1959 and his Ph.D. from Walden University in Minneapolis, MN. Early in his career, he worked in Research and Development as an engineering supervisor for Aerojet General Corporation. He served California State University, Sacramento for 26 years as a professor and associate dean. He is presently Vice President for Technology for Clean Custom Fuels, Inc.
Stephanie Weber-Demyan, ChE ’84
Director of quality assurance at LíOreal USA in Solon, Ohio. After Matrix Essentials was acquired by LíOreal USA, she was promoted to lead the Quality Assurance Department.
Heather Cassaday, ChE ’99
Is the Edison design engineer for GE Appliances in Louisville, KY. She is currently the 2002 Leap Dispenser Program design engineer.
