Fire Fighting Robot Contest

I had a group of students who had completed my mechatronics course and wanted to continue developing their skills.  The took an independent study course with me the Spring of 2005 and decided to design and build a robot to compete in the Trinity College Fire Fighting Robot Competition

The students did an excellent job and would have been in the top 5 robots had we not broken two gears in our drive train before the final competition.  We were one of 26 teams that qualified from a field of 58 before a practice run left us without our right drive motor.  You can download one of our practice runs that was taped at Trinity before losing our drive from the link below.
