Mechatronics Autonomous Bot Brawl

This contest was the final exam for the mechatronics class that I taught the Fall of 2004.  The object of the contest was to find the other teams robot and push it out of the ring. 

The students were all given the same base Rokenbok toy car to begin their project.  They were required to take out the radio control and rely solely on the microprocessor to control the vehicle without any outside influences. They were also allowed to spend up to $50 adding components. The students were not allowed to add anything to their robot that would destroy the other team's robot.
