Instructional Design
Instructional design suggestions are available through ITS, we can help you determine alternative methods of presenting material to students.

Equipment for Educational Use

  • Video Recorders- HandyCam- create short instructional or demonstration videos. Videos can add a new component to a group project.
  • Graphics Tablets- also known as drawing tablets are not just for artisit. A graphic tablet allows you to hand-write notes (formulas) or highlight information during PowerPoint presentation, reviewing a Word document and Excel spreadsheet.
  • Tablet PCs- Small laptops that allow you to write on the screen with digital ink. Tablet PCs have a similar function as a graphire tablet hooked to a laptop except with a tablet you can actually write on the screen instead of having a writing pad. Since it uses Windows XP for Tablet PC, it is much easier to use and is much more portable than a laptop with a graphire tablet. Please contact us for a demonstration.

Training/Workshops

ITS offers personal training and workshops on various uses of technology to help faculty enhance their teaching. For the latest schedule of workshops see the schedule. For personalized training make and appointment. ITS is also always willing to demonstrate how to operate the equipment we have available. Just indicate that you require assistance when you check out an item and we will be happy to help.
