AT brings High Tech Services to TSU
Diagram of Services

TSU Academic Technology is committed to improving the teaching and learning experience through the use of technology.

Training and Consulting

AT offers a wide range of training and consulting to help you find the technical solution to meet the needs of today's high tech students. Technology workshops are held on a regular basis and serve to introduce new technology or share tips and tricks when using current technology (see workshop schedule on the right). We encourage faculty or staff to make an appointment with AT for one on one help relating to any technological task.

AT

e-Learning

If you are interested in using Blackboard to supplement your course or to teach online, AT offers an online tutorial/course designed to help instructors get started with Blackboard. Blackboard can help you make the most of your class time by letting you post handouts and study materials online.

Faculty can engage students with Dyknow Vision and Monitor. Dyknow lets faculty present material on a tablet to students and records every pen stroke. Students can see the presentation on their own monitors/tablets and make private notes. Dyknow even stores all those notes for later. Dyknow also has Internet filtering and monitoring capabilities. These features and more can make Dyknow a fully paperless classroom experience.

Hold class meetings online with Connect, hosted by IHETS, is a Flash based collaborative teaching tool which requires little more that an Internet connection from your students/attendees. Record your online class/meeting for those who could not attend the live meeting and/or review later.

Audio Visual

Need to borrow a projector? Have an event and need sound? AT handles the full spectrum of Audio Visual equipment. Remember to get your request in ahead of time. We need at least a week advance notice for large events so that we can make sure the necessary resources are available.

Should you have any problems with the classroom equipment, please don't hesitate to call us. Our goal is to make the use of classroom technology as easy as possible, but sometimes things can go wrong. Rather changing your class lesson or leaving the problem for the next instructor to stumble upon, call us so we know to fix it. Working classroom technology is a priority.
