TSU students and community members have the opportunity to “get fit” on new cardio and strength equipment. Tri-State University’s Gettig Fitness Center, located in Hershey Hall, received an updated look this fall. The fitness center received $40,000 worth of new Matrix equipment to replace the existing equipment.
“Our student-athletes work hard and set high goals. We hope this investment will help them be successful,” said Dr. David Anspaugh, TSU acting athletic director. “Fitness should be a goal for everyone. So I hope all students, as well as the community, take advantage of the high-quality equipment.”
Eighteen pieces of equipment was purchased with capital improvement money. The new Matrix equipment includes 13 strength machines, two x-bikes, a treadmill, an elliptical machine, and a muscle trainer. TSU donated the old equipment to Angola High School.
The Gettig Fitness Center is open to the community through limited memberships. If interested, please contact the Athletic Department at 260.665.4141.
