TSU proudly welcomes Indiana governor Mitch daniels

Tri-State University was proud and honored to welcome the Indiana Governor to campus yesterday for his first formal visit.  During his visit, Governor Mitch Daniels spoke openly with students and discussed what was on their minds during a student question and answer session.

TSU President Earl D. Brooks II, Ph.D. welcomed Gov. Daniels in the Trine Welcome Center and discussed TSU’s future plans.  While in the Welcome Center, Gov. Daniels also spent time telling stories while meeting faculty, staff, and students.  He continued his visit with a tour of campus and had lunch in TSU’s Park Avenue Café.

During lunch, Gov. Daniels held an open discussion with students to discuss concerns they have.  “I want to know what you think and what’s on your mind,” he said to students assembled in the cafe. “I try to do things like this as often as I can.”  Some of the questions asked by students included education costs, daylight savings time, raising toll fees, and job placement.
