Tri-State University continues its prospective student open houses on Saturday, January 21 with a Luau in January. High school students interested in various majors by our Allen School of Engineering and Technology, School of Arts and Sciences, Ketner School of Business, or Franks School of Education are encouraged to visit campus along with their families and attend the day’s events. A complimentary lunch is included and admission to a TSU Thunder men’s basketball game.
“TSU’s open house format provides a unique program to thoroughly introduce students and their families to the University,” said Scott Goplin, vice president for enrollment management. “Students will learn the many academic, athletic, and activity opportunities available to them as they compare TSU with other potential college options.”
The open house begins at 9 a.m. with registration and continues with a welcome from TSU’s president, dean of admission, and vice president for academic affairs. Following the welcome, prospective students and families will be able to attend two informational panel discussions of their choice. Panels will include student life, the admission and financial aid process, and athletics. The day will conclude with a student panel, overviews of academic programs with faculty members, and a tour of campus.
Following the information session, students and families are invited to have a Hawaiian-themed lunch at the Park Avenue Café and then attend a men’s home basketball game. The Thunder will take on Albion College at 3 p.m.
