tsu talking chalk for fall fest event

The talk will be chalk, when Tri-State University presents Chalk it up!, a community-wide event for artists of all ages, on Saturday, Sept. 22, as part of Angola’s Fall Fest.

The second Chalk it up! will take place from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on TSU’s University Boulevard. Chalk it up! is based on the Italian tradition of street painting, which dates back to the 16th century. Artists will create their own four-by-four-foot masterpieces in chalk, directly on the boulevard. Non-toxic materials will be provided for each participant.

TSU introduced the event for Fall Fest in 2005, and met with enormous success, said TSU Director of Brand and Integrated Marketing, Jill Boggs. “We are excited to again be a part of Angola’s Fall Fest,” Boggs said. “We want to welcome children, parents, grandparents, and TSU students to participate. This is an event in which everyone in the community can take part.”
