tsu open house offered for future engineers

High school students interested in an engineering career can investigate attending Tri-State University during the TSU Office of Admission’s Engineering Open House on Monday, Feb. 18, in conjunction with Engineers Week activities at the school.

Students can take advantage of a panel conducted by TSU student engineers and hear an engineering overview from faculty with the Wade Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, the McKetta Department of Chemical & Bioprocess Engineering, the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering, and the Department of Technology.

The offices of Student Life, Student Success and Retention, Admission, Financial Aid, and Career Services will offer a number of panels to explain the ways in which their services aid TSU students. Representatives of the Office of Athletics will answer questions during an Athletic Open House in the University Center mall.

Students will enjoy lunch in Whitney Commons before exploring the campus through tours with TSU students in the afternoon.

Those interested in extending the day to take in Engineers Week activities at TSU can attend a 6 p.m. information session on the five-year master of engineering degree in civil or mechanical engineering in Fawick Hall, room 112.
