Dr. Robert Hamill has joined the Tri-State University administrative staff as Vice President for Finance/General Counsel, overseeing and handling all University financial and legal matters in that role.

Dr. Hamill earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from Pace University in Pleasantville, N.Y. After an initial career in accounting, he earned licensing as a certified public accountant. 

A few years later, he continued his education, graduating from Vermont Law School in South Royalton, Vt. After practicing law in New York, he entered the field of higher education. Over the ensuing years, he earned his Ph.D. from Indiana State University and worked at private institutions in a variety of teaching and administrative roles.
