Students focused on college choices can enjoy a hiatus from the winter chill by attending Luau in January, a prospective student open house hosted by the Tri-State University Office of Admission on Saturday, Jan. 26.
While a fun, tropical theme will prevail, students and their families will have the opportunity to take a serious look at attending TSU. Registration will be in Forman Hall, after which representatives of the offices of Student Life, Career Services, Academic Support, Student Success and Retention, Admission, and Financial Aid and Scholarships will participate in informative panels to explain the interaction of their offices with TSU students.
An athletic open house in the University Center mall will provide an opportunity for students to meet with coaching staff to discuss involvement in TSU Thunder sports programs.
The open house will also include a panel by current students, and overviews of the Allen School of Engineering & Technology, the Franks School of Education, the Jannen School of Arts & Sciences, and the Ketner School of Business at various locations across campus.
Families will be hosted for lunch in the University Center’s new dining hall, Whitney Commons. Campus tours will immediately follow lunch, leaving from the atrium in front of Whitney Commons. Visiting students will receive free admission to the Thunder men’s basketball game versus Albion College in Hershey Hall at 3 p.m..
