The richness of the world as reflected in its cultures will be the focus of Tri-State University’s 40th annual International Dinner and Cultural Celebration April 5 beginning at 6 p.m. in the University Center mall and Whitney Commons. The TSU International Student Association (ISA) and Multicultural Student Organization (MSO) will co-host the event.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. to displays throughout the university mall area of memorabilia and photos from cultures across the globe. Dinner begins at 7 p.m. in Whitney Commons, and will be a gustatory gallivant through culinary delicacies and traditions from all corners of the world. U.S. Southern style, German, Jamaican, Japanese, Mexican, Pakistani, Arabic, Greek, Chinese, Vietnamese and other food types will be served. Angola’s Las Limas Mexican food restaurant will join TSU’s Bon Appétit in providing an array of their own tasty treats.
Entertainment will top off the evening, in the form of musical performances, a mariachi band, dancing, a flag parade, and a variety of other performances by talented international and American students. Visitors often dress in native costumes, in keeping with the evening’s international focus.
