tsu dinner teaching seniors dining etiquette

Tri-State University’s annual Senior Etiquette Dinner Thursday at 6 p.m. in Witmer Clubhouse will give TSU seniors looking ahead to graduation and careers some experience with the proper manners, dress, and behavior to employ during a business dinner.

Bon Appétit chef Ben Grubisich will act as etiquette expert for seniors as they use his tips on proper dining during a four-course dinner. Approximately 65 students and 10 special guests will participate in the event, which requires business dress.

TSU Trustee and businessman Gary Ward will offer some tips on delivering that important positive interview. TSU staff members will serve the students and special guests to provide a personal touch. A TSU student will deliver the invocation.

As they register for the dinner, students will receive tickets for a drawing, which will include the grand prize of $150 to use at Eddie Merlot’s restaurant in Fort Wayne.

Students will also take home an etiquette booklet answering frequently-asked questions about proper dining and giving tips on proper dress and behavior to use at business functions.

Bon Appétit, Banker’s Advertising, and Mor/Ryde International are the event sponsors. The Etiquette Dinner is co-presented by the TSU offices of Career Services and Student Life.
