Allie, a professionally trained therapy dog and winner of the Ohio Outstanding Animals award for 2006, recently visited Franks School of Education faculty and students. Invited by TSU Teacher-in-Residence Helene Moog, Allie, along with Bryan Middle School counselors Jackie Boyd and Shelley Wanner, and special needs teacher Kathy Clark, toured the FSOE and visited Professor Garner’s science/math methods course.
Professor Moog has worked with Allie for the past few years. “Allie is a great friend and a key part of the staff at Bryan Middle School. Her presence has made the school feel safe, homelike, and secure. She helps put smiles on the faces of students and staff,” said Moog.
