We look forward to making the Tri-State University family a more integral part of your family.
The Parents’ Association represents all Tri-State parents,
promoting their active involvement in the University. The Association
advances interaction and support between the University and parents.
The Parents’ Association at Tri-State University was established
to give parents a more meaningful role in the college experiences
of their sons and daughters. As a member of the Parents Association,
not only will you receive special invitations to events, you can
have a voice in their planning. You choose the level of your involvement.
Purposes of the Association
- To keep parents informed of University happenings
- To involve parents in the issues involving their sons and
daughters and the University
- To keep the administration informed of the concerns of our
parents
- To involve our strongest advocates, parents, in promoting
the University
Membership
Parents of current students are automatically entitled to the
benefits of the Parents’ Association. These benefits include
invitations to special events and copies of University publications.
Patron Parents
When you become a member of the Patron Parent Association, you
will receive many benefits. Parents who contribute $50 annually
to the Association are Patron Parents. Membership cards, making
you eligible for parent discounts, will be issued to Patron Parents
and are valid for one academic year. When using this card, parents
must be present.Their contributions let the association be self-supporting
and help offset costs of mailings. Patron Parents receive the
following special discounts:
- 10% discount for University bookstore purchases, excluding
textbooks and software
- $1 off TSU theater productions
- Season pass to all regular season athletic events
- Research assistance via e-mail. You can get assistance from
the same professionals that help your student
- 20% discount for green fees at Zollner Golf Course and
- 10% off any regular priced merchandise
- 10% discount for TSU parents at the Super 8 Hotel located
at 251 W. State Road 120, Fremont, IN
- 20% discount for TSU parents at the Hampton Inn located at
271 W. State Road 120, Fremont, IN
- 20% discount for TSU parents at the Ramada Inn, located at
3855 N. State Road 120, Angola, IN
Advisory Board
A Parents’ Advisory Board, representing parents from each
class year of students, leads the Association. Patrice Woody from Elkhart, IN serves as the President of the Parents' Advisory Board. Many parents give
their time, expertise and support to plan Parents’ Association
programs. The Parent Advisory Board encourages every parent to
become active in the life of the University by offering suggestions
and feedback and volunteering their time.
