Spring Semester '08

Prior to 05.05.08

Students register for classes and fill out a new "Payment Agreement Form". The bills are due for self pay students at this time. Any new student applying for Financial Aid needs to complete a FAFSA form prior to the beginning of the session.

05.05.08 First 8-week session and 100% refund period begins— Financial Aid needs to receive the following items in order for aid to appear on the student's account—Signed Award Letter, Master Promissory Note, Entrance Interview Form, Completed Verification, etc.
05.07.08 Tuition charges applied to student's account

05.12.08

Last day to add and last day for 100% refund for session 1—Drop/Add Form needs to be received by main campus at 4:30 p.m.(Eastern Time). Remember this can change financial aid package

Second week of classes and beginning of 50% refund period for session 1

05.13.08

An e-mail statement will be sent to students showing actual charges and estimated financial aid. This will show charges and financial aid for both 8-week sessions if they are registered and packaged for both.

05.19.08 Last day for 50% refund for session 1—Drop/Add Form needs to be received by main campus at 4:30 p.m. (Eastern Time) Remember this can change financial aid package

One half of Stafford Loans will disburse for students eligible for loans (at least six credits in 1st session) however, this does not mean a student is eligible for a refund of the excess

Pell will disburse based on session 1 enrollment.

06.04.08

An e-mail statement will be sent to students showing actual charges and estimated financial aid. This will show charges and financial aid for both 8-week sessions if they are registered and packaged for both.

06.06.08

Possible refund - if a credit exists on the student's account - attendance verified and completed all financial aid paperwork along with SPS Student Refund Request form submitted to the Financial Aid office
06.18.08 Last day to drop a class for session 1
06.29.08 SPS First session ends

08.13.08 Last day to drop for session 2—Form needs to be received by main campus at 4:30 p.m. (Eastern Time)
08.24.08 SPS Second session ends—A statement willl be sent to students with outstanding balances for the summer semester
