Athlete of the Week

Tri-State University junior third baseman Sallie Richardson (Jackson, Mich./Napoleon) has been named the TSU Athlete of the Week for the week of April 28 – May 4. Richardson led the TSU offense with a batting average of .500 as TSU swept through the MIAA Tournament and earned the school’s first AQ to the NCAA Regional. Richardson went 6-12 at the plate with three runs scored. With TSU down 1-0 with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh against Alma College, she stepped up to the plate and drove in the game winning runs with a single to left field.
